Our Birthday Celebration. Happy 2nd Birthday!

Thanksgiving 2008

This Thanksgiving was great! The kiddos got to sit at the table with us (and play some peek a boo), we had our families join us and although our table was set for a couple less this year, they are not forgotten. We love and miss you terribly Uncle Steve and Grandma.

We have soooo much to be thankful for this year. Our healthy beautiful children, Our amazing family, 2 jobs, a beautiful home and I am most grateful for the fact that we are able to sit around a beautiful table and hold hands as we pray and listen to my 6 year old say what he is thankful for.....and the first thing out of his little mouth is "i am thankful for my sisters, brother and my family". Serioulsy.......he is the best.

It is so easy to become caught up in our day to day worlds and forget during this stressful holiday season, how much we have and how many need our extra love and support. If you have a little, give a little. That is our goal this holiday season. Give, give, give.....and be thankful.

MawMaw and pawpa gave the trio an early birthday present......3 shopping carts and they LOVE THEM! The girls enjoyed helping mom make homemade rolls --- boy they are such big helpers! LOL

Happy Birthday our Beautiful Children!

Six years ago today, I gave birth to our beautiful amazing oldest son, Collin. We prayed endlessly for you and felt we would never be blessed with a child and then God blessed us with you. Today, i celebrated your birthday at school with your classmates. Oh, you warm my heart. How can you really be 6 years old? You are such a handsome amazing, animated young man. You are bright and excel at everything you touch. You love your siblings, help mommy and daddy lots and make us both very proud. You love to watch movies, ride your bicycle and love to hang out with your friends. You love banana pancakes for breakfast and pizza for dinner. You wear a size 6 in clothes and a size 13 in shoes. You have always been our social chair (and continue to be). You take things very seriously and have a memory of an elephant. I remember like it was just yesterday, sitting and holding you and wondering how God made your little fingers w/ dimples in the knuckles so perfectly. You are so perfect. I pray you continue to grow, love and be the sunshine in Daddy & I's lives. We love you son!

Oh, our trio....in 2 days, 2 years ago, i was shopping with my MIL, a mere 36 hours from being blessed with 37 week old triplets. My pregnancy wasn't easy, but by large measures it wasn't hard. Our scariest week was having a cerclage put in at 18weeks but other than that, we were tripley blessed. I was very fortunate to work from home until the day i delivered, have zero bed rest and a "planned" scheduled delivery. That was my first mistake for thinking I was in charge of these beautiful babies i was carrying. 36 hours before i was schedule to go to SMMC, I was shopping at Target with my amazing mother in law (i was smart enough not to drive) to pick up a few last minute things.......Chris & I had been to Labor & Delivery 4 times and knew that I was simply having a lot of contractions and this day, this afternoon, I knew i would be checked again and sent home. So, there i was, checked and ready to go home when the doc gave my 1 hour of morphine to settle my contractions and anxiety, checked me again and announced we were having babies within the hour. I knew then, I would no longer be in charge!

Today we had our doctors appointments for our 2 year check up!
Cora - 32.75" tall, 25.25 lbs and 25%
Cami - 32.5" tall, 24.5 lbs and 25%
Carter - 32.5" tall, 24.5 lbs and 10%

Cora Sue -Cora Sue, Sissy - 4 lbs 13 oz, came home on day 12 - You spent 36 weeks holding your brohter and sister up. You were on bottom. You were my pillar of strength in Utero and you still are. My dear sweet oldest daughter....you are stubborn, strong headed, a bully and tom boy who loves her beads & tutu's. You love your hair down, you love to have ponies put in and you love to choose your own shoes. In the next breath, you are the first to melt my heart with a smile, a kiss and a sweet look that will continue to wrap your daddy around your finger as you continue to grow. You are a daddy's girl. You are independent, strong willed I swear you hear a different tune in your head. You are Always dancing, playing and flirting. You have always loved your sleep and love to cuddle with your woobie, baby, or blankie. When it comes to naptime, you refuse to sleep with your socks on and always want a head rub at night time. We love you princess. Always.

Cameron Ray - Cami, Cammers & Sissy - 4 lbs 10 oz, came home on day 12 - You were so quiet in my tummy but the first to run away the minute the belted me up for stress tests. Oh, you test your boundries.......you are my maticuous, book worm BUT first to jump if it has been thought about. right or wrong, your the first in line. You are quick to fool as the patient kind one and you are, you have the heart full of spunk and refuse to be left behind. With that said, you my sweet princess, have been our only biter and hair puller. I guess it is survival! You are mommies girl. You hate to have your hair combed and ponies put in. You too, have always loved your sleep and love to cuddle with your thumb and blankie. When it comes to naptime, you have to have your socks off and you need nothing more at bedtime than a kiss and a pat. We love you princess! Always.

Carter Lee- Carter Man, Little man, Tan Man, Captian Meltdown - 4 lbs 7 oz, came home with mommy and daddy - my smallest baby but so strong. You my man, Daddy & I swear you don't sleep, and don't require a lot of sleep either. You are our poorest eater but somehow continue to grow! You love you binkie, We guess you will carry your binkie (broken - mommy cut a hole in it) til Kindergarten! it is your prize and your very special nite nite prize. You are sensitive and gentle. Your sisters beat you up daily, and you are a trooper, fighting back and never letting them get the best of you. You love your brother, you love to play with him and he adores you. You two will bond and be best friends forever. We love you baby boy. Always.

Just For Today by Sally Meyer
Just for this morning, I am going to smile when I see your face...and laugh when I feel like crying. Just for this morning, I will let you wake up softly in your flannel p.j.'s...and hold you until you are ready to stir. Just for this morning, I will let you choose what you want to wear...and I will say how beautiful you are. Just for this morning, I will step over the laundry to pick you up...and take you to the park to play Just for this morning, I will leave the dishes in the sink...and let you teach me how to put your puzzle together. Just for this afternoon, I will unplug the telephone and keep the computer off...and sit with you in the garden blowing bubbles. Just for this afternoon, I will not yell once, not even a tiny grumble when you scream and whine for the ice cream truck...and I will buy you one, if he comes by. Just for this afternoon, I won't worry about what you are going to be when you grow up...I will simply love you for the joy you bring me. Just for this afternoon, I will let you help me make cookies...and I wont stand over you . . . trying to 'fix things.' Just for this afternoon, I will take you to McDonald's and buy us both a 'Happy Meal'...so you can have two toys. Just for this evening, I will hold you in my arms and tell you the story of how you were born...and how much we love you. Just for this evening, I will let you splash in the bathtub...and I won't get angry when you pour water over your sister's head. Just for this evening, I will let you stay up late...while we sit on the porch swing and count all the stars. Just for this evening, I will bring you glasses of water...and snuggle beside you for hours...and miss my favorite t.v. show. And tonight when you are sleeping safe and warm in your bed, I will think of the mothers and fathers who mourn for the children they have lost. I will remember the parents who sit by hospital beds, watching over the little ones they love. I will weep for those parents whose children are cold, hungry and suffering, and .... this evening, when I kneel down to pray, I will simply be grateful for all that I have and not ask for anything...except just one more day.

HoHoHo!

Look what we did today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The kids did awesome! Although, the girls didn't want anything to do with sitting on Santa's lap, they certainly didn't mind booting him out of his chair! Collin asked for some BenTen items and a Wii and the trio, well, they asked for a Porche 911 to share (oh, wait, that was mommy's request)! This Santa at the Great mall rocks. We go see him every year and he is so patient and spends lots of time with the kids! I love this time of year!

Kelly's 40th Birthday Party!!!!!

Jen and I hosted our friends 40th birthday party Surprise Saturday night at Jen's house!!!!! We made everyone wear black and white and through a little creativity had Kelly show up in Red for her big night. We had approx. 40 guests that included her sister from Seattle, folks & brother from Iowa and had a blast! The bar was full, the table was loaded with goodies (that Jen, my mom and I made), and our Tarot Card Reader for entertainment was an absolute hoot! Happy Birthday Kelly! It was a pleasure to host and we enjoyed every minute of it!
