Brome Road Tornado

Friday night we loaded up the entire family and was headed to the circus when the sirens started going off. Needless to say, we didn't make it to the circus. At 5:05 pm, a tornado formed behind our home and ripped up our south side yard. We were so blessed in that we only lost our flagpole, fence, tree and had some furniture landed in the pool. Our neighbors to the South didn't fare so well. Their roof was blown off, the boys spent several hours into the night, in the rain, trying to tarp their roof. The inside of the house is a mess, the lost their front porch, siding, roof, etc. Although, our street was hit, we were lucky. The tornado hopped over 1 block and pounded Corliss. Trees and homes are lost, boats are in places they don't belong and there is a shed that no one can figure out who's it is. Our entire street pulled together, feed the kids and hung out in "ah" of what had occurred in the garage. Few pictures attached.

Wow, well Im glad nobody was hurt. We were at my sister in laws who live on 83rd in between corliss and waverly. When the tornadoes came down, we didnt get any wind, debris, nothing. Its so weird how these things occur.
