Final thought

As most of you know I am on an airplane at least 2 times weekly. there has been something nagging at me lately and No one can answer me. WITHOUT googling the answer........................WHY is the bathroom on an airplane called a Lavatory? Post your thoughts! I know, I know, but it is this shit that keeps me up at night! :-)

Halloween is up

woohoo! Collin & Amy helped me put up the halloween decorations on the front porch. I still need my mums - but we are getting there! Nothing like 2 bags of $3.00 spider webs to make your home look like a deserted dump! SPOOKY OOOKEY Trick or Treat!!!

Cora has found her twin

No, not Cameron. She has found her reflection looking in the oven. She thinks she is kind of cute & entertaining!

conversations of an almost 5 year old

on the way to school this morning Collin wanted to watch a movie and I told him no, that since I had been gone i wanted to "talk".

Him: "Mom, what do ya want to talk about"
Me; "I don't know, tell me about your week with daddy"
Him; silent for a moment...."mom, do you think dad is strong?"
Me; smiling, i said, "i think your daddy is very strong"
Him; thinking only for a moment, he informed me, "yep, he is strong but not as strong as God, the green hulk guy and the orange guy from fanstastic four
me: chuckling, "son, you are right, non of us are as strong as those three!

Quick Overall 10 month update

Carter - 3 teeth (2 bottom & 1 top)
Cameron - 2 bottom teeth
Cora - 2 bottom teeth

Everyone is crawling and pulling up! They are drinking from a sippy cup and a regular cup. Each of them say mama & dada but not "at" us.

Everyone is teething and getting over a nasty green snot cold.

Favorite foods;
Cora will eat green beans until she turns green & mac n cheese
Cameron loves peaches & carrots & mac & cheese
Carter loves chicken & mac & cheese

Cameron doesn't like eggs and Carter is not a fan of fruits.

Cora and Carter are my binki babies and Cameron sucks her thumb anytime she is in the crib. It is funny, outside of the crib - nothing - doesn't look for it at all. The minute she is in the crib her thumb goes in the mouth and down she goes.

The girls seem to need much more sleep than Carter. They would take longer naps but little buckaroo wakes them. They sleep about 1 hour & 15 minutes in the morning & afternoons. Sometimes we will get 1 hour & 30 minutes in the afternoon if we are lucky! They are still off to bed at 6:30 (and that is a push), at 6:00 they are ready but we are trying to extend the evenings with them.

They are soo much fun right now! Curious about everything. Sounds, colors & new things, it is wonderful.

GO CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are proud season ticket holders as we opened this year 0 and 2. Now, after a very sad showing, we have a winner!! Go Chefs - I mean Chiefs!! Seriously, if you have never been to Arrowhead stadium, add it to your things to do. It is the loudest in the NFL and we have be far the greatest fans that do some terrific tailgating. Regardless if we win or lose, good company, good times and a great KC event.

Collin's Early Birthday Party

As most know, Collin turns 5 two days before the Cameron, Cora & Carter turn 1 --- so, we decided to have an early Birthday party for Collin so he could have a pool party for his celebration. It was a great time! I am not sure where the 5 years has gone, but i dare not blink or it will be 10. Our man is growing up.

Shorthorns

1 spilled sprite(thank you mommy), 1 spilled order of chicken fingers (thanks carter), a dozen dropped toys & menus on the floor, 1 order of tator tots just for the trio, 2 Miller lites for mom & dad, Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, finally jammie time. Carter & Collin banging on the table was sooo cute. everything Collin does, Carter has to try....thus the chicken finger mishap.

Collin is back at Hockey

Collin started back to Hockey last night and we took the whole gang. Cameron hates wearing hats, but other than that the Trio did great! Collin was a rockstar as this was his first true hockey practice with pucks & sticks! He shot a goal and worked soooo hard. We treated him to a great dinner at Shorthorns following practice.

Da Bears!

No we are not Bears fans, but after the Chief's Sunday performance, we might beocome fans! My associates in Chicago should love this picture! Thank you Dennis for the awesome Jammies!

Lets play a guessing game...........

Guess who got a lego stuck up his nose last night? Stuck so far up that it could not be seen and after repeated plugging one nostril and blowing out hard with the other it finally came out....

Let me give you a clue, it was the only 4 year old in the house.............ummmmmmmmmmmmmm

What a great contest & calender!

So, there I was......

minding my own business. Working hard. On a conference call, when I see Collin's school beaping in on my cell phone.

Me: xx can you hold for a second?
Customer: Sure.

Me: Kim Stephens
Teacher: Kim, this is Ann Marie and I have Collin here with me and I need to discuss the seriousness of his actions during lunch today.
Me: Ok, What happened?
Teacher: We were enjoying Mini (MINI, mind you, thankfully) Corn Dogs today when Collin decided to eat the breading on the outside and put the dog down his pants and proceed to say, "look at me, I have a big ding, ding".
Me: silence, processing the conversation
ME: Dying inside with laughter
Me: still silence and still trying to get the visual in my head.
Me: oooookkkkkkk
Teacher: would you like to speak with him?
Me: No, (knowing that I could not make it through the conversation without laughing) can you please tell collin that his dad & I will address it with him when he gets home.
Teacher: OK

Yes, it really happened.
