RSV Shot #3

The babes were so brave. Everyone received their RSV shot today! I am convinced this shot is what has helped them ward off any germies that big brother and dad have been bringing home. So far...........babies are healthy.

Everyone weighed in too.

Cora - 8.64
Cami - 8.64
Carter - 8.64

Yep, IDENTICAL weights again. They even used a different scale to double check Carter!

They are doing great! Today, Parents as Teachers is coming out to access the babies and help us understand what we can do for them to continue their development. I know they only 5.5 weeks early, but we want to give them as much as we can to help them catch up!

love to all!

Monster Truck FEVER!!

So, the IQ of the building might have doubled when we walked in, but I have to admit - WOW, what a great show. We even stayed and had autographs of all of the drivers. Collin had a blast. It was nice for the three of us to get out and have "old times" without the rush of the clock for feeding of the babies!
Grave Digger was cool,
Black Stallion was awesome but Ninja Turtle rocked!
Tix - $85.00
Cool Tee - $18.00
Monster trucks & pillow - $55.00
Beer for Mom & Dad - $46.00 (that was only 4)
Signatures from Drivers - $free thank God
Happiness of our son - PRICELESS

Let it Snowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

View from our deck.........WOW, the snow was beautful tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday - J'T's Grill - Outing #2!

Borrowed from another Triplet Mommy

Our blessings, yes, all of them, one, two, three & four...all of them. Some folks say the oddest things as you venture out with 4 children. I suppose that intentions are good when people comment of our situation, however, there is simply no thinking before it actually is spoken. I suppose that 2 children is the "usual" number of children these days, yet my mom had 4, my sister had 3, and yes, we have 4.

I read this on another triplet mommies website and I think it is telling..............

"So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you'll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind. I know you're already doing this; just keep on doing it."
I Thessalonians 5:10

So this is my challenge this week...to honestly encourage rather than robbing people's joy.

Love!

P.S. Babies are 8.4 lbs, 8.4 lbs & 8.2 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cami is 7#'s 8 oz
Carter is 7#'s 10 oz
**My babies, my blessings, are 7 weeks old tomorrow!!!!!

Sunday......

Last night, Collins fever returned - eecckkk. So, this morning dad was busy making bottles, feeding babies, dressing and Collin & i went on an adventure to Urgent care. How is it, that you go to a place to get better and while there, every virus, bacteria and infection is sitting in the waiting room?

The verdict is in - Strep - first time, but he has it. On antibiotics - not yummy ones either. Collin said today that "they make him worse" . Poor little man. We should feel like a million bucks tomorrow.

Tonight, Chris & I were busy mapping out our schedules for the next 2 weeks as we are both returning to work full time - talk about a zoo. Thank God for Amy........................from Collin's school, Hockey, Hunting, my weekly chicago trips, Amy's College class, Monster Jam, Elmo Live, 3 babies, 21 bottles daily, 25 diapers daily, spitup, poop and a partridge in a pear tree...............................my life...my blessings! Hang on - here we gggooooooooooooooooooooo

The Big news of the weekend - we are going to be published! Yep, DeSoto Explorer is coming out tomorrow to do a "story" on our family. Too fun!

That is it...sorry I have been slow to post this week!

January 13th - Our First Outing with everyone (other than the doctor)

Amy, Collin, Cora, Carter, Cami, mom, dad & Gma & Gpa all went to dinner..............we dined at JT's grill in DeSoto! We took seating for 9 -which consumed most of the dining area - LOL!

Pink hat is Cora
Light blue/purple hat is Cami
Blue hat is Carter
We were the circus train for sure!

6 weeks old tomorrow!!!!

After a highly successful bath, the babies all weighed in...................................drum roll please........7 POUNDERS! They are all doing great! Starting to show a little bit of a schedule which has been nice the last 2 days! A couple of feedings have been consistent (11:00 a.m., 6:00 pm & 9:30 pm - have been same the last few days)!!! They are having more alert periods and reaching for some toys. They absolutely hate tummy time a few times a day, but a necessary evil. They are all very good babies that sleep, eat & poop (Carter has cornered the market on poop.....thank you Stephens!). Reflux continues to remain under control (thank you God), we still have spitups from someone once a day, but --- spit happens! Even Carter will toss a feeding once in a while - no pain, no tears, just didn't stay down. We just clean up and continue on. Their weight gain is awesome and really helps us all sleep a little easier! It is hard to believe that they have all gained almost 3 pounds in the last 4 weeks. All babes were around 4 lbs when we brought each of them home. Amy has been wonderful and takes the 12:30 feeding a few times weekly. This enables us to sleep a good 5-6 hours at night - Feels like a Million bucks on those nights!

Collin is sick right now, he has a fever and sore throat. Poor guy, just feels like crap and has slept most of the weekend. He is trying so hard not to touch babies and baby things - wash, wash, wash - not sure if there is skin left on his hands....so say a quick prayer that he gets well and the babies stay healthy! I hope with their RSV shot, it will help ward off germies.

I returned to work on Friday for a meeting - I know, call me crazy, ADULT conversation. It was very nice and good to be back. I am returning full time on the 15th. I am also looking for some new office space, and have a couple of leads in DeSoto - how great would that be to be 5 minutes from the house. Chris is returning this week 5 days a week 1/2 days and then also returning full time on the 15th. Amy continues to do a great job! She is awesome with the babies, bottles, laundry and still playing with Collin & being a part of our family!

Much love to all!
Kim

Update

Babies are growing, growing, growing...

They are all three weighing 6#'s 10 ounces. They are all eating between 22 - 25 ounces, although Carter ate 27 yesterday. yes, our little man is packing in the food........perhaps I should have rethought that Breast feeding thing. Why is formula so much? Heellllooooo, powder, add water and feed. It is now called liquid gold in our house!

The babes are averaging 30 diapers per day (this is almost 1000 diapers since we have birth)
75 ounces of forumla a day (this is a LOT of $$ - I don't dare do the math)
and averaging 1 full load of laundry every day - thank God for Amy!!

Collin is doing well too! He returned to school today after having almost 2 weeks off. He LOVES school and was very excited to return. Tonight is hockey night with new skates again. We are adding a helmet & elbow pads since the new skates are SHARP and REAL hockey skates (no front of back) and very different from his figure skating skates he learned on. Last week he was pretty discouraged and ended up with 2 very large bruises on his hips, but he stuck with it. This week, we are hoping he does better on the real skates or poor Santa might get them returned! :-)

Come see us!
